Installation is as simple as drilling a hole in your existing downspout and inserting the rubber diverter head. The piece seals inside the downspout and draws water through the inlet hose into your rain barrels. When barrels are full, water backs up in the inlet hose and falls through the internal spillover in the diverter. In other words, overflow exits down the normal course of your downspout.
That’s right—overflow is automatic! No on-and-off switch, and no mess!
